Having collaborated with theatrical teamsters throughout her film and television career, Christina was honored when the union’s New York chapter asked her to design their new offices. “They were stuck in the 1970s,” she says, “with wood paneling, orange sofas, and shag rugs.” To modernize their new Long Island headquarters, Christina veered towards a sleek and clean aesthetic while preserving the masculine energy that defined their original space. The art on the conference room walls has historical significance, as well; Christina commissioned an artist to create maps of areas that are part of the teamsters’ territory.
